I’m not alone!

Very interesting, the CyberSpeak by Andrew Kantor from USA Today. His article Vista causes an array of problems describes mostly the same I’ve seen with my Vista odyssey. Best hist last sentence: “If someone out there feels like spotting me the cash for a 20-inch, 2.33-GHz iMac and Photoshop, I’d be grateful.”.
Gotta go!

Just read through your Blog. Looks like you’re lovin that new Mac Pro. I absolutely love that computer. I had a previous version but switched to a laptop, Macbook.

I read how you really want to cut videos, have you played with the iMovie. It has some pretty good functionality but Final Cut Pro ROCKS!! It takes a little while to get up to speed on it but its so cool when you get the hang of it. I reallly miss editing video on it. This Macbook is sweet but I think I’m going to have to move on up to a Macbook Pro soon.

Usually switchers post an article or two about the frustration of some of the small differences in the Mac. Maybe you’re finding interest in discovering solutions on your own.

A couple tips I find real handy which you probably know:
    - Switching between windows inside an app - command-`
    - As you command-tab through apps, you can command-Q and command-W applications at the same time.
    - Under Universal Access activate zoom (real handy on laptops)
    - Mail and 85% of the other Mac made apps at first look like basic freeby no frills applications but it’s very deceiving, they rock when you start poking around.
    - Parallels ROCKs!!
    - Get comfortable with Hiding apps, command-H
    - Go here and trick out your menu bar http://menu.jeweledplatypus.org/

    Hi Pete,
    thanks for your suggestions ;)
I must also admit, that I previously tried to use an Apple MacMini and was frustrated - especially if your expecting it to be like Windows. After selling my Windows PC I MUST accept the changes and so it is just a “learning of new functions and keystrokes”. Even Vista doesn’t makes it easy to switch, there are also too much differences.
Actually I’ve stacked some DV tapes on my desk at home to cut, but not started - iMovie is really cool and much easier then Adobe Premiere. We have a Final Cut pro in our company, I think I will ask him for an advice :)
